You know, when i got my car insurance through Geico 6(?) years ago, they were the cheapest. So I didn't think twice. I finally went through my bike policy, yesterday and found myself a 271.00 dollar savings a year. So, I changed the coverage, (that met with my personal situation) and thought, hhmmmm, They base this partly on credit scores.... I went down to Farmers insurance, and dang if they didn't call and tell me they can cut my car insurance IN HALF, and cut the bike insurance IN HALF. WITH the same coverages I have now....

Now my credit score back in the day sucked azz, and now it's a LOT better, around 700 I think, I can't believe the difference.... ed

Sweet! maybe I need to check them out. I am paying $90+ a month on my van and truck, and $165 per quarter on my bike ins.

I think we pay about $200 a month total for our house, camper, 2 cars, 1 truck, a golfcart and my bike. It all adds up.

Nobody else can touch what I'm gettin on the bike, not even the same company as a new customer...

Truck, house, and wife's car are under the same policy, with alot of discounts....though I have one wreck on my record, which is probably why.

Well I went down yesterday afternoon and sure enough I switched. The coverages I had , Geico was charging me 1600 every six months! I DOUBLED my coverage, added some more, AND got it for half price through Farmers Insurance. 842.00 every six months. This is for a 2000 Ford Ranger - full coverage, and a 2008 Ford Edge Limited - full coverage.

I took great pleasure in calling Geico last night and saying guess what? "I ain't paying for that gecko's salary ANYMORE!! " Geico also admitted that they don't recheck your credit score, and that they were still basing my quote on my credit score from 6 years ago.... the bastards.....


Now I've been over my bike policy again, It's 571 a year, Full coverage (1000 ded), and liability only on the Lifan, (50 bucks a year for this one) and if I switch to Farmers, they'll double my coverage, and add extras, give me towing, a 500 ded. , for 660, a year.........

I think I'll switch the bike next month..............
