  • Did a little work for a friend

On vacation this week with no real plans. A guy I know is going out to Sturgis with a group of friends but Robin and I can't make it this go round. He has an 08 Street Glide and asked if I cold do an all 3 hole oil change, install Custom Dynamics led turn signals and set up a detachable tourpak kit for him. He was here at 8:30 and headed home at 1:30 all done and grinnin from ear to ear. I enjoyed being productive, helpin a friend out and he was happy to buy my lunch and gave me a gift certificate for $100 to the seafood place we always get steamed crabs from. Now I'm going riding for a bit. Hope everyone else has a great day too!

That`s mighty thoughtful John, mighty nice to get some food in return too.Steamed Crab might be as good as going to Sturgis without all the effort.

Yep but the rewards when they are turned into Crab Cakes is AWESOME !!!!

It's good that you could help your friend out John, it's amazing the folks that are scared to do the maintenance themselves.

Well he asked me what the "little box thing is on the right side of the handlebar" is...he's had the bike for 10 years and doesn't know what a front brake master cylinder is so maybe he's better off not working on it.

Nice, John! Enjoy that gift card.

Mike, some of us just don't have a good setup for maintenance - I don't have a lift or a lot of room in my garage. If I had a buddy close with tools and stuff, you better believe I'd make use of that! *grin*

Oy... I take it back. He is not one of the people I meant in my prior post. LOL
