Just read that Ron passed away today. Guess he had been struggling with stomach cancer for a while. Dude was 67 years old and still rockin!! I'm not into metal type music too much but I respect what he did for music. RIP Ronnie.

Wow! I saw him with Ricthie Blackmore's Rainbow decades ago. If you ever get the chance to listen to Rainbow live, I recommend it. Cozy Powell, the drummer in Rainbow at the time band, passed away years ago from a bike accident.

Here is video of Ronnie fronting Rainbow, complete with Cozy Powell on drums. This is a song by Ritchie Blackmore (of Deep Purple) called Mistreated. Dio, Powoll and Blackmore all rocked this song live. This was when the music industry gave us real rock musicians who played music because it was in their soul.
