  • I'm New from Arizona

    Well hello.

My current ride is a 2002 Vstar 1100 classic. I started riding about 8 yrs ago. Bought the vstar to see if I'm still interested in riding. Did very little while in college and then waited 12 years until the kids got older.

Well, I always wanted a HD and I think now I am ready to get one.

I thought about the RK or Ultra but I am leaning towards the Ultra. From the other forums, it seems people migrate from the WG or RG to the Ultra. I want radio/music and comfort. Also my wife hates my bike for doing 2-up for any long distance riding. Long distance to her is anything over 100 miles.

We are probably going to rent an ULTRA to go to Grand Canyon this summer. Its less then 200 miles and we will see if she like riding in the back.

    Thanks

When do I get my HERD Number

    Marty

Welcome, but gee, you don't have a Harley yet, you haven't washed any of our bikes, you haven't sent any of us any beers, and you want to know when you get a Herd number? ed

We strive to maintain really low standards so you gotta own a HD. You can "hang around" until you grease a pig. Then let BOSS know.

My OL goes to sleep ifn I dont poke her once in awhile (not that kinda Poke either fuggars) so I dont know how much more comfy you can ask for on an Ultra. Shell accept about 4 hundred miles a day.

Welcome, Marty! You've come to a good place to hang out. HD is the way to go. I think it's a good idea to rent the one you're interested in, as you're doing. You'll get a good sense of whether it's the bike for you. And more importantly, your wife will see if it's comfy enough for her. LOL.

I know what you mean. I actually have a girl cousin name is "Mardi". For the life of me I can't call her Mardi either.

Glad you posted a nice intro and we look forward to your transition of the HD. Yamaha are cool looking but the comfort, satisfaction of owning an HD is freaking amazing!

Good luck with your rental but I know you will definately see the difference right away!
