  • Greetings from N.C.

I actually don't own a bike anymore. I'm 70 and have had my share of "Big ONES".. Head on in 1979 and in 1989 Flipped a bike and was run over by a Jeep. 59 days in MA. General Hospital for the second one. First one not a scratch..... Jumped at last second and "FLEW" over the 1968 Buick Riviera that made the left turn into me.

    Anyways, My reason for joining.

I'm actually the Crazy Old Corvette Guy in Kings Mountain, NC. 30 miles west of Charlotte.
    But I'm A WRENCH.....
I'm retired from Auto Mechanics and Network Engineering. Quite a ride....

I'm the old guy that people come up my driveway with their vehicle issues, and some recent ones have been Harleys.
Currently have a 2008 full dresser in my shop, and the owner is a good friend of mine, and I'm helping him with electrical issues.
I'm a member of the corvetteforum.com and laugh at some of the 'Technical Information' people post on F.B., I'm sure you understand.

So, here I am, a guy standing here, asking you guys to help me....

Looking forward to picking your brains.....

Welcome to the HERD Art. I told My sons when they were young, I want You to know how to fix most anything that could go wrong on Your personal vehicles, I do not want You to know enough about it to want to be a mechanic for a living, there is cleaner and easier ways to make a living. Now, one is a power plant operator in Alaska and the other works as a surveyor/engineer for the DOT.
