OK, HERDsters, we got an idea in the works. We are going to start a HDHERD bike of the month contest.
From today Sat, 4-10 thru Thursday we are taking nominations for bikes.
here are the rules
you may nominate your own bike, or another members bike
to nominate a bike, post a pic here and the members name who owns it. if someone else has already nominated a bike that you would like to nominate, just reply with "I second _________'s nominations of ___________'s Bike"
Friday we will take the top 5 nominations and start a poll to vote on the bike of the month.
Once the votes have started, you will have 1 week to vote and the polls will be closed
WHoever gets the most votes, will be the HERD May 2010 Bike of the month. the winner will get a custome walpaper for their computer from Boss with their bike, and a decal from myself that says www.hdHERD.com Bike of the Month for whatever month they win.
We will work an trying to get a pic of the winning bike on the homepage of this site as well.
Winners will not be able to win again for at least 12 months. (in the event that a members has more than 1 bike, each bike is eligible to win in any given year)
Contest only open to bikes currently owned by members. In other words, you have to own the bike now. pics of bikes you use to own but don't now are not allowed to be entered.
Case and point....my sportster, which we all know should win any contest (LOL, sorry, I had to) is in 100 pieces right now, so it can't be entered.
A "biography" of the bike will be posted with the pics for the winner, i.e.
1998 Harley FLSTF Fatboy, 1340 evo stock engine, custom fenders, custom paint, 120 spoked radial laced wheels, etc, etc, etc
to up the antee even further, if you have been nominated or nominate yourself and want to be voted on, you will be asked to submit a current pic of your bike. make it a good one, try to get a good background, clean your bike, etc
this will be a lot of fun so lets Git-R-Did:rubberdown
