There's a story to them bars...I was moaning to the dealer I needed to sell my Road King so I had room to store the new bike, he offered free storage for the winter...we talked about bars a few months later, he said he was slow in the shop and would install for $100 labor. Not a bad deal and I took it, gave him the part number for the bars. When I went to pick it up, the bars were wrong, I wanted chrome bars...he offered to to knock off $85 from the bar bill....I took a few minutes to star at them, they instantly grew on me and I kept them. They work for me.
Good story on nice bars. Sometimes things just work out. Congrats.
Hey it works. I’ll be soaked in bacon grease.

I used to go around town, after pay day and pay My bar bills, after that I was as broke as if I never had a payday.

In the long run, this saved me a ton of cash cause I would have got sucked into chrome everything else, brake/clutch levers and everything around them. I spent a ton of money on the RK making a full front end and when it is time to sell, ya take a beating.

Only two more things I want to add, chrome lowers someday and in the near future another set of brake lights in the back. I like what Jeff did, but with the saddlebag guards, they will not work. But they have a set that mounts on the saddlebags I am thinking of. They come in chrome or black, if I went this route I would get them painted the silver to blend in better. Need to research the aftermarket other than Harley products to see what is out there, without being gaudy looking.

But then there is the stereo upgrade. And the Arnott air ride. Maybe a heated saddle. Wheels too. Can't forget the custom paint. And maybe a 120 motor.......with a Baker trans....then there is.....

Damn!!!!!! For that deal, I'd have had the bars installed the next day!.. Those 10" Wild1's are exactly what I've been looking at.

              • To buy them from Wild1 they were $256.00. Dealer said he would match the price, less a 20% discount 'cause I am still int he "new bike" period. That made them $204. Less the $85, $119.80.

I think what made me keep them was, he claims 4 hours labor to install, his standard rate is $66/hour (cheap to begin with). He charged me $100. I'd be a real shmuck asking him to replace and change on his nickel....I like 'em. This dealer, Vreellands HD in Bloomsburg, PA, has treated me well, overall. Yeah I have some small gripes, not worth mentioning. Good dealer.

Well, if you should decide you absolutely don't like the black ones, and have to have the chrome, you just let me know. I'll take those black ones off your hands. ;-)
