yep i know, but for some reason he`s got his mind set on a electra glide!! he`s a good guy but he has no mechanical abilities what so ever!! he just wants one thats in good mechanical condition.his wifes been buggin the hell out of him to get a bike and i found some real nice bikes/deals on ebay for him.he told me to keep a eye out for one but it seems like he`s being kinda hesitant now??? i know if i were going to afghanistan for about 9 months to one year i`d be jumping at the chance to get a bike !!!! one never knows !!!!

If he's interested he can have it as is for 5500$ Or if I put it back together 6500$ All the pieces are there. I have had the bike since I bought it brand new in 1983. Stuff recently started to need relacing. It has a S&S super E carb. I have leather bags on it but have a never used, set of fiber glass ones. Also a used but rebuilt S&S super B comes with it. I bought the super B new and its rebuilt after 20 years of use. I sent it back to Viola, Wisconsin and they rebuilt it.

As I posted to IA its apart as much as it takes to get the rear pulley off and then I covered it for now.

no, just a generic set of fiber glass bags. I haven't purchased the mounting gear for them. Not sure if I want the ;leather bags or the fiber glass one.

I had the original fiberglass bags on My 76FLH along with all the crashguards, that was one sweet old ride and if I ever find out where it went to I will be going to retrieve it.
I did try leather bags for a while but they just did`nt hold all the stuff a female needs for an extended ride.heeheehee does that sound right???

The leather bags were adequet enough but llike you say not for chicks. What I ended up doing is getting a detachable old school tall sissy bar(which comes with the bike) and putting on a T-Bag w/ a roll snapped to that.
