AMD Athlon 64 processor

I have no idea what size harddrive, all I know is mine quits spinning every now and then and everything locks up....everything. Have to manually shut off the power to it, then it spinns really, really slowly till it locks up again

Let me dig through the box and I'll PM you what I will send you. Do you know how to make recovery discs for your computer? You will have to format this new harddrive that I'm sending you and start from scratch. I can lend a hand over the phone to get you going. Let me know what level are you in to get the ball rolling....

my little brother will have to come over and do it. He told me a couple weeks ago that my HD was going out, said something like he could take another one, hook it up to my current one, transfer everything, then swap them out......or something like that

Here is what I have....300 Gig harddrive (Maxtor) - Your computer came with an 80 Gig unless you upgraded that. I'll put it out in the mail today and have your brother reformat this drive. I set the jumpers and this one is configured to be the MASTER. Your brother should know what he has to do with the other one to avoid the conflict.

Total time to get you up and running to the basic Windows....1 hour as long as you have the operating DISCS software from Windows

Also, keep in mind that any proprietary software that you currently run will have to be reinstalled.
