Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Truck Near Weatherford
WEATHERFORD — Stopped traffic between Springtown and Weatherford Thursday morning was reportedly caused by a fatal wreck on Farm-to-Market Road 51 involving a Springtown-area man.
Central Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene of a motorcycle vs. trailer wreck early Thursday morning, where a person was pronounced dead at the scene by LifeCare, Central Community VFD Lt. Mike Johnson said. Volunteers blocked both north and southbound lanes for about two hours while investigators conducted their investigation.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office reported Richard Massey, 40, of Springtown, was found dead in the 3500 block of F.M. 51 around 7:15 a.m.
Information on the wreck was not immediately available from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The Parker County Sheriff’s Office and the Weatherford Police Department also reportedly responded to the scene.
